Our Practitioner Programs

ʻIao Valley and Māniania are renowned wahi pana, or storied places, recognized as centers of knowledge and spiritual practice. ʻIao serves as the final resting place for many of our most esteemed chiefs and kahuna, and it traditionally marks the nexus of the Makahiki opening ceremony. Historically, it has been a site of learning—a true educational hub—where prayer is deeply focused on regeneration, fertility, and growth. In this spirit, the Ke Kula ʻO Piʻilani Practitioner Program aims to cultivate traditional skills, practices, and arts, allowing them to once again take root in the hearts and minds of our community. We celebrate Māniania and ʻIao as pivotal centers of education, working to train and nurture the next generation of practitioners and artisans in Hawaii's unique and rich cultural traditions.
