KA PIKO KAIAO

Originally created for adult learners to acquire ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi and foster a community of Hawaiian language speakers around our elementary school students, this program engaged parents in language classes and cultural workshops aimed at supporting their children's language acquisition. Over time, the initiative has expanded to encompass a broader community of enthusiastic language learners, as well as novice and amateur artisans eager to enhance their skills, knowledge, and body of work in traditional arts, crafts, and practices.
